Carl's Christmas Puzzle Hunt: 2013

Welcome to the 2013 edition of Carl's Christmas Puzzle Hunt. If you're wondering what all of this is about, you can read the history of my Christmas puzzles.

I constructed this puzzle specifically for my sons to solve, but I'm sharing it here in case anyone else is interested in it. Most of the puzzles in this puzzle hunt can be solved by anyone with an interest in puzzle solving and general geek knowledge, (references to Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Dr. Who are all fair game, for example). Remember that the solution to the entire puzzle hunt indicates which of my four sons each Christmas gift is intended for. To solve this puzzle hunt you do need to know that the first letters of my sons' names are C, H, A, and S.

There is one puzzle in this puzzle hunt that requires a list that is not general knowledge. If you're trying to solve these puzzles, and get to that point (you'll know it when you get to it), you can email me and I'll be happy to provide the list.

If you do solve this puzzle, (or attempt it and need a hint), I'd love to hear about it. Please feel free to email me: Carl Worth <cworth@cworth.org>

In 2013, each Christmas gift under the tree had a piece of paper attached with a puzzle (generally without instructions) as well as a QR code. These pages are reproduced in the PDF file below. So the solution to the puzzle will assign each page of this PDF file to one of my four boys:

Have fun, and happy puzzling!
